Prins Harry biedt excuses aan (maar niet aan de paparazzo)

Prince Harry has apologised to the Prince of Wales for losing his temper in the brawl with a paparazzi photographer outside a London nightclub.

Clarence House confirmed that father and son had a face to face meeting at Highgrove in Gloucestershire the morning after the fracas. A contrite Harry said sorry to his father for the damaging headlines triggered by his outburst outside the Pangaea club in Picadilly at around 3am on Thursday.

The paparazzi picture agencies stand to make up to £1 million from worldwide sale of the photographs of Harry, who is third in line to the throne. The pictures have been splashed over newspapers, magazines and television screens across Europe, the United States, Japan, New Zealand and Australia.

Big Pictures, the agency which employed Chris Uncle, the photographer who claimed he was left with a cut lip after Harry lost his cool, has demanded up to £10,000 for each reproduction of its photographs.

The Prince of Wales left Britain today for an official trip to Italy hoping that Mr Uncle, 24, the photographer, would not carry out his reported threat to make an official complaint to the police.
